As a Past Captain of another club in Cheshire, I rang the club and was surprised to be invited by the Captain to take part in a past captains competition.. I drew up not knowing what to expect, but the warmth of the reception I was given was truly heartwarming. The course itself is a little gem and plays harder then it looks. The course climbs from to the clubhouse to the 7th, where on a clear day (and it was) the views are stunning. Down the hill to the 9th and back up on different tees - sufficiently different to make this 9 hole course look different. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day on a course that should charge more - there are many more expensive courses (and I've played a few) that are not a patch on this.
If you are playing in northumberland and you need
a good 9 holes to test yourself,then this is the place to do it. Every shot in the bag will be needed to go round here successfully,but with stunning views and great greens it is well worth the effort. Extremely well priced and very friendley, a little gem.
