Played Woodham on Friday 27th Aug 2010 on a 2-4-1 at £15 each which I must say is excellent value for the course. Every hole is unique and picturesque, but also punishing if you do not find the fairway. The general condition of the course was fantastic although I struggled to read a lot of the greens, some of the slopes are more severe than they look! Stand out holes for me were the par 4 second, par 3 fourth, par 4 9th (drivable if you can play a high shot over the trees) and most of the back nine. The par 5 13th has to be one of the best golfing holes in the area, you play left from the tee uphill then right from the fairway downhill to a small green surrounded by water. Beautiful hole. The whole set up is fantastic, and the clubhouse food and drinks reasonably priced. Will definitely be back, sooner rather than later. If you are in the area and looking for a bargain, then this is the course for you!

myself and 2 friends played at Woodham Grange on the 22nd May and i have to say i LOVED the course. we paid £10 on a 2-4-1 and its the best tenner ive spent all year! its not a particularly difficult course but there are a few tricky holes, especially the 17th which is a long par 3 thru a valley of trees, and the 15th (which i made par on) which is a par 5 that you have to pick your way thru. its a very pretty course and easy on both the legs and the eye. if your in the area i cant recommend it enough! cant wait to return and play it again and hopefully we wont get hailstone next time im there!!!! thanks woodham - enjoyed it immensely!

What a Golf Course!! £14 midweek & £10 on 2-4-1! an absolute bargain and worth the 90 mile round trip we made. The greens are by far some of the best I have played on not only this year but previous years. Each hole is different and give a challenge, some testing par 3's especially thr 17th. Clubhouse is very nice n roomy with cheap drinks. All in all a brill course that one of my party wanted to go back the next day! I shall return even though a 45 mile trip to get there but the green fee and standard of presentation and greens makes it all worth while.

A truly enjoyable course. We were greeted by friendly catering staff who provided us with a truly remarkable breakfast at a reasonable price. They then proceeded to relieve us of as much cash as possible for their respective charity raffles but all in a good natured way. There is no booking system other than the old ball slot system which seems to work well. A well stocked pro shop with friendly staff. As for the course, there is little we can say that hasn't already been said. A good and interesting test of golf for all but the low handicappers and even they would enjoy it. This mature and pleasant course is very well maintained and we even saw one of the ground staff watering seed in whilst it was raining. The greens were maybe just in need of a little attention but were generally very good. The only real faults were the lack of sand in the bunkers and the changing rooms were somewhat neglected with no lights and poor showers. Every hole appears to have its own peculiarities which only add to the enjoyment and of five courses played that week this was probably the best value for money. We were just too tired to enjoy it properly. Hopefully one of us will win a raffle prize so we can justify the trip back to play there again.Thoroughly recommended. The Derbyshire Bunch.

31-05-03 Excellent yet very challenging particularly the back 9 but all in all an excellent course with some very awkward pin positions.

A very interesting course that breaks you in gently on the first 2 holes before moving onto a series of well designed holes that each have their own character. Recommended to any serious golfer.

An excellent, challenging course. The pin positions can be almost impossible to play to but where the only downside on an enjoyable day.

A course of two halves with the first half being quite tree lined and the second half having a great deal of water. A tough but enjoyable course.
