Whickham Golf Club Ltd

Played here on 02 July 2010, what a course! not one bad hole to talk about, all good in there own way. Course manicured lovely and the greens were top notch hats off to the greenkeepers. You must keep straight as mature trees are hard to play from and club selection a must as some blind tee shots so select carefully to plot your way around the course. I will return very soon thats for sure and will definately be spreading the word about how good the course is.

We played Whickham today (2.7.10) and both myself and my playing partner loved the course. To think this course is only about 4 miles away from the centre of Newcastle and this is the first time ive played it is sad as it has to be one of the best courses in the region.
Every hole was immaculately kept and the greens were like carpet. All the holes are heavily tree lined so driving the ball straight is the key to low scoring.
If you're in the Newcastle upon Tyne area and want a cheap game (£11 with a 2-4-1 voucher) get yourself along to Whickham. I promise you won't be disappointed I will certainly be returning before the summer is out. BRILLIANT!

this is an attractive course which has alot of exiting holes to be challenged.Ithink that this course could be alot more of an improvement by making the fairways shorter than the rough which it wasnt when me and some other visitors attended the course It sshould be more like the hobson

What a delightful course. Everything you could want in a parkland golf course. Numerous challenging tee shots where using the big stick is not always the wisest option. Formidable greens where your approach shot has got to be spot on. Plenty on bunkers to trap wayward shots. Excellent par 3's. Greens in good condition (we played in mid April). Altogether a great course to play. Highly recommended.
