Played on a windy, autumnal day. The course is fairly open, with very little rough... Its main defence appears to be the wind. Greens and fairways were in good condition. On a calm day i'd imagine good scores could be got here. As previously said, trust the card.. and not any GPS system since they're remodeling the back 9. Excellent facilities with practice green and bunker, and a driving range which included being able to practice off the grass rather than matts.

I played on 29th June for £15 -available after 5pm- but was allowed to start earlier as course was quiet. The course is strangely unbalanced with a first 9 of 3552 yds and a back 9 of 3032 but both are par 36. They have incorporated 3 of the planned new 9 so trust the scorecard & map and not (as I did)anyone who has played the original layout. I did have 3 bonus holes! The course is open so plenty of chances for long driving meaning the 5 400yd plus par 4's between 2 & 8 are not out of range. On the back nine the 3 par 4's are all under 350 yds so placement is more important but why play safe? The new 17th over water is a great short hole from the whites but much simpler from the yellows because of distance and angle. Course in good condition greens true and challenging. I suspect the final 6 holes are not imminent but still well worth the green fee. The course can now only be accessed off A339 and from the south the right turn comes quite suddenly.

I've played this course today after playing some of the other courses in the area.I must say this is by far the best one i've played. The greens were in very good condition and the course looked great. The staff are very friendly and the food were nice too.The only disappointment was the driving range, were you hit of mats. All and all not bad and well done to weybrook park for making it a day to remember.

Ive just moved to the area and wanted to join a local club, after playing all the clubs in the area i joined Weybrook Park. The course is far the most enjoyible to play and the greens are like playing on summer greens even during this very cold wet winter. Ive made so many friends over the past few weeks ive never known such a friendly club before. The new 9 holes that are currently being built are out of this world with lots of water to play over! Wow cant wait to play them. The new practice facilities are just great with the big range tee, practice bunkers and the chipping green. This club just seems to keep moving forwards leaving other clubs in the area well behind. Keep up the great work Weybrook this really is the best course you could play in Hampshire.

Course not bad....greens are not as good as they were. Will most probably be nice when work is complete, although appears to still have a long way to go. Lets hope the management of the course is good afterwards and that the club decide to spend money. Could also do with upgrading facilities....Staff still friendly...although a great shame Andrew is no longer around, he was a credit to the club and a thoroughly nice and professional person. Unfortunately the club, by what members were saying, is not the same without him and Anthony Dillon (Pro) is never around.

I have been a member at Weybrook Park for 12 months. The course little more than ten years old is fairly open and consequently the course lacks a little character, however, the general condition and maintenance of the course make this course a constant pleasure. Free draining it is always good to play a course where mats are used sparingly and temporary greens very rarely and only ever as a result of severe frost. The 8th is a testing par 4 slightly over 400 yards with a narrow green guarded left and right by bunkers. The 11th similarly is tough to hit in regulation. The 16th is the signature hole hitting from an elevated tee in to a valley and then back up to a raised green with a monster bunker in the face. The club are currently developing a further nine holes which will create three loops of nine with vastly improved practice facilities. Weybrook Park is well worth a visit for a good value, well maintained course, playable in all weathers.

Very impressed the greens were in exceptional condition and the fairways were top class. Challenging course and a pleaseure to play on, loved the signature hole and the tough par 3's Bunkers looked tough, thankfully stayed out of them, and everyone was very friendly and helpfull.

The course is well maintained with probably the best and truest greens in the Basingstoke area, maybe even Hampshire. Wayward driving is not punished too much but the rough around the greens can be difficult to get out of if your ball sits down. The clubhouse staff and members alike are welcoming and friendly. This course is well worth a visit

This is a course that is not only in excellent condition and very well maintained, but also a very challenging track. No 2 holes are the same, and there are some superb holes to be played - A great sweeping undulating dog legged 8th, a visually stunning 16th with a big drop from tee to fairway, and then a rise back up to the green to name but two. The small things make a difference here in that there are smart yardage signs on each tee, with well kept tee boxes and smart wooden steps and manicured gravel paths. Both the greens and fairways were in very good condition. There is no sonobbery here and as paying visitors we were made very welcome, both in the pro-shop and the clubhouse. I would put this down as a great society venue. A weekend green of £30 was excellent value for money. Go play it!

Played here with our Society in May, and can only agree with all the favourable comments beforehand. As a "newer" course, we found it had matured very nicely and with a good design and condition, the whole group enjoyed it. With a warm welcome from all and sensible green fees, I would recommnd this to anyone and of all standards.

THE BEST COURSE I'VE PLAYED

Posted by Neil Hunt on 29/04/2005

I have played this course regularly over the last year and I have been impressed everytime, the impeccable standard of greenkeeping and a great atmosphere in the Club from everybody from the Bar Staff to the Club Captain. The course being built on chalk has great drainage and playability in even the worst conditions, the greens are of 'championship' standard and has a great mix of challenging holes with the final three being a great challenge. The option to play nine holes has given me the opportunity to improve my game in the evenings without getting in trouble with the wife !!! Overall GREAT COURSE! GREAT PEOPLE! GREAT VALUE!

layed this course in July 02 after it was recommended by a friend. Although only a few years old, the course was in very good condition and the greens were excellent. The layout is very good but there are lots of saplings which is only to be expected on a new course. However, in a few years time this will be amongst the very best courses in the area. If you play this course, look back up the 8th fairway from the green and imagine all the saplings as mature trees, that will give a good picture of how good thiscourse is going to become.

I recently played at this club and found it to be of a very high standard. The course was an absolute pleasure to play on and the greens were of an excellent condition, in my opinion one of the best clubs i've played at for a long time! A big thankyou to the obvious hard work of all the greenkeepers.

Weybrook is quite a forgiving course which is beneficial to novices while giving long hitters a chance to really let rip. The greens are in excellent condition. This is a good value for money course.

Great course, superb club house, very friendly crowd of people.\r\n\r\nAll of the facillities were smart and modern and having their own driving range was very useful.\r\n\r\nHard to believe the course is just three years old. Clever design, incorperating the natural surroundings and features, makes it seem a lot more establablished. \r\n\r\nHighly recommended, I will certainly play there again.\r\n\r\n
