1 review of Tiverton Golf Club
Located in an area short of clubs and despite a snooty visitors' policy of handicap cert or member's intro only it actually proved welcoming, especially on course.
The lack of visitors ensures wonderful greens, plenty of tee times, and quick play. The bad news is the fairways - we couldn't work out if their resemblance to a field was deliberate, due to the natural terrain and elements, or the number of farmers who are members! Even with the beenfit of winter rules this made scoring tough, but no doubt by high summer, they'll play more easily.
The layout is a mixture of wonderfully scenic holes with great views and one or two rather dull and straight ones. The standout hole is the 3rd, a par 5 dogleg running alongside a canal with great views. Overall a good test in a beautiful setting.
