5 reviews of Tillicoultry Golf Club

pLayed this course as the last leg of a golf holiday having play ed Barrow, Grange and Gleneagles (reports submitted)
played the nine holes here the same day as gleneagles as we were were staying in Tillicoultry having had 5 days in the lakes !!
no par 5s here but a very challenging hilly course and a tough course to play already having had 18 holes elsewhere. i would have probably played a little better had i stood on the first tee fresh and not already having played (gleneagles)!!!!!.
having said that apart from one bland par 4 (4th 250 yards) every other hole was a challening hole requiring a thoughtful shot seletion with plenty of dog legs and a grest par three (3rd) downhill 150 yar hole over a tree with a difficult green to hit well guarded by bunkers
my 11 year old and i played 9 holes for a cost of £11- great value. and the staff were very friendly
a grest week of golf but it sadly back to work next week !!!!!!!!

Tillicoultry GC is a Gem of a course. For all levels of golfer, it requires every shot in the book from uphill/downhill lies (7th and 8th) to long drives (5th) and accurate Tee shots at the 3rd and 6th.
Although only a 9-holer (played twice!) it is certainly NOT a pushover. As for the greens, the course -like most- tends to progress as the season wears on and normally reaches its peak in late May/early June until well into November.
All-in-all a delightful course, beautiful setting and extremely friendly to boot!!

I'm proud to be a member of this course. Other local courses should take note of how good our greens are. I agree with Andy, we are in Clackmannanshire not Stirling.

A very nice course at the foot of the Ochils.\r\nResidents will be surprised to find however, that it has been moved to Stirlingshire - since it is in the middle of Clackmannanshire!!
