Visited Alyth again, after 3 years, on 29th June 2012. It was a very wet day, following a very wet spell, but the course held up very well and we concluded our week long competition at Alyth. This course is a really fine one and it was in great condition, considering the weather. Half way round, a number of the greens started to fill with water and we thought we might have to abandon the round. However, as soon as the very heavy shower passed, the green staff were out with machinery and squeegies to take the water off the greens. In not ideal conditions, Alyth still came up trumps...as always! The club house is excellent and the catering superb. Still a course I could play again and again, Findlay McClymont, Ascot

My first compliments go out to the greenkeepers,as I have played this course many times over the last fourty years, not once have I experienced a negleted course, always in tip-top shape.Althou a short course, you have to be focused at every shot played. This is a peach of a course, that will remain embeded in your memory for years to come.

I played Aylth in the last few weeks, all i can say is this is a must play golf course. The pro was first class and the course was even better. This golf course will test every golfer. I,ll be back in the summer to see it at it's best.

Always the first course we would start our annual Scottish golfing trip with. No easy holes, but no unfair ones either. Beautiful.

Just to confirm what other players have said...I played here quite a few years ago but am determined to return one day for another round or two. I was with a party of eight booked to play the day here and we got lost in the village trying to find the course. We stopped a little old man walking down the road to ask directions and he replied that if we turned around, turned left at the roundabout, we would come across a little piece of golfing heaven! Believe me, he wasn't wrong. To anybody contemplating a trip to this area for a golfing holiday, do not overlook a visit to Alyth...not the first name that springs to mind, but I promise you the memory will stay long, long in your mind.

I have played this course three times back in summer 1998 and what a joy it was to play this course. It is the best course I have ever played on. Anyone wanting to look for somewhere to play in Perthshire then look no further than the Alyth Golf Club. There are plenty of holes that will test even the seasoned golfer. The views are magnificent from every hole and there are NO easy holes on this course.
