Played this course on the afternoon of 27th Aug 2010. Nice little course, well kept although the front nine greens had just been tined and sanded which was disappointing but these things need to be done. I actually was putting better on the sanded greens! Some interesting holes, the front nine, although picturesque and tree lined, was very up and down with par 4's of similar length. A good chance to rack up some points if you can keep your drives in the short stuff. Back nine is a bit more open, with some longer holes and some tough ones when playing into the wind. Nice little finishing hole outside the clubhouse, par 3 with no more than a 9 iron or pw needed for most. All in all, a nice little track. Not the hardest or longest course (only one par 5), but well worth a visit.

if you cant consistantly hit the driver straight keep it in the bag on the front nine...very tight and narrow tree lined fairways ...the back nine is a bit more open where you can have a lash of the tee ..very well kept course which i have visited on several occasions because of its well designed holes..very good test of golf and a course i would highly recomend..

Lovely course especially the front 9. I think i enjoyed it because i played well but it is still an absolutely fantastic course. I had a lovely meal to top off the day. Play this course.

The first nine meander over streams and through mature woodland, the second nine holes are parkland with wide fairways. The par three 14th is the highest point on the course and permits a panoramic view of the northumberland countryside. It was a delight to play two nines of such contrasting character! A thoroughly enjoyable course to play!! The food available in the club house looked reasonably priced and very well prepared.
