4 reviews of Sheraton Algarve Pine Cliffs Golf and Country Club

I have played the course many times over the years from 2005-2008. Its a great holiday course well presented and a reasonable challege The 6th is great fun! Nothing nicer than sitting by the 9th having a drink and watching the golf..there is also a very good driving range and practice facility within 50 yards of the club house Its a little expensive by uk standards but hey its holiday time

A short, 9-hole course set within the impressive 5-star Sheraton Pine Cliffs resort development, located on the cliff top between Vilamoura and Albufeira. Big hitters may find it a little short for their liking, but mid-handicappers (like myself) looking for a pleasant round will not be disappointed. I played three rounds of 9-holes in May '08 and found the greens to be true with some tricky contours, although they were very receptive to a well struck approach shot. The signature 6th hole, par 3 called Devils Parlour, is very scenic and requires a strong nerve to hit your tee shot across a gaping chasm to the green on the cliff edge beyond. This hole alone is worth the green fee. I'd say that, if you're looking for a pleasant, short, round and staying on the complex or very close by (as I was), this course is well worth a visit. However, for those looking for a more severe test of their golfing prowess, there are many excellent courses in the vicinity.

Course in excellent condition. Relatively short nine holes, but testing nevertheless. Plays like a parkland course but only yards from the beach. Intimidating par 3 sixth across a chasm!

Nice, difficult, small 9-hole. Narrow fairways and wonderful 9th hole over a cliff. Good exercise for all level
