Where to start. Only being playing for six months and not played manay courses, but even for me this was a disappointment. No charactor, tees to close together, fairways almost touching, badly laid greens and with the pressure of overbooking it feels like you are almost speed walking around the course. I can say I have played there, but won't be looking at going back.
We booked for 18 holes and nobody told us its a 9 hole course. We gave up after taking 2 1/2hrs to play 9 holes. The course is very over booked, it's played by hackers who cannot keep to the fairways and there is no etiquette at all. For what it is, it's also very expensive.
I hadn't played Rustington for 3 years and having played today I remember why I stopped. It has just taken over five hours for three of us to play 18. The course is overbooked, only 6 minutes between tee off times is not enough for this 9 hole course.
Avoid unless you have a lot of time to spare and don't mind hanging around between shots.
Dont be fooled by the description available on the intro page. This is a 9 hole course which you play twice, tees about ten feet apart?
Rustington is little more than a field with 9 tees and 9 holes, very little character as yet.
The driving range is very good but expensive.
I would recommend this course for a change/practise round but you would not want to play it every week.
