4 reviews of Rosslare Golf Club
I've now played many links courses in Ireland (on our annual holiday to Eire) and this is simply the best!
Outstanding design (you go out and then back so no hole is the same!).
The greens are the best I've ever played and if it were not for its length the Irish Open and more illustrious counterparts would grace this every year!
An uknown gem at a very fair price - a must for all golfers!
Super greens, a classic links layout, fabulous value and a fine challenge. Go there - the green fee pays for the day.
I agree with the previous posting.
A good links course capable of throwing up a more than reasonable challange to even the more competent golfer. Greens are immaculately kept, and the course isn't overplayed (it's first and foremost a members club) so it is playable all year round. Rosslare benefits from some of the most benign weather in Ireland and many pleasent rounds can be played in the depths of winter. As a quiter seaside resort the course does become busier during the peak summer months, but round times never become an issue (normally..!).
Green Fees are very competitive when you consider the quality of the course and the clubhouse facilities are first class.
The "New" 12 holes also provide an interesting challenge, and offer an alternative for Golfers who are unfortunate enough to turn up on club days. The "New" course stands up very well when compared to the championship course.
this is an absolute must if you are in the area. Not a long course, but the wind always blows when I'm there, making it much longer.Excellent greens, don't know about the fairways in general, but the rough can be vile.Just plain good fun.
