Romney Warren Golf Club

Romney Warren has now morphed into Littlestone Warren - the other course to the famous Littlestone. Have played it on numerous occasions, and always enjoy the round. Short enough for us oldies that think par 4 450 yarders are only for the pros! Some interesting holes with very true greens most of the way round. Wind needed to make it real fun, but good value. Par 3s are pretty good, and short par 4s interesting, with one or two longer par 4s that require some playing. But a pity the course lacks a punch with no par 5s. Good service and comfortable clubhouse.

Short yardage, 4933yds par 67 of yellows, yet when the wind is blowing a real test of golf. Keep it in the fairway because the rough is long, water comes into play on a few holes. Greens were fast & true and the fairways bouncing (in February)so in the summer i imagine it will play great. Great value for money aswell, £5 (junior) £14(O.A.P) & £18 adult.

Romney Warren is the little brother to the adjacent and well-known Littlestone GC (Open Championshop qualifying venue). It is ideal for the turn-up-and-play high handicapper who wants to play links golf. The course is not too long, but provides a real challenge on windy days, with some tricky blind tee shots.
