Played here earlier today and found it a distinctly underwhelming experience. There are some solid holes and the last three are good but this is largely flat parkland golf with quite a few holes on the short side, including three par 4s in a row under 300 yards on the way out.
Yes it is convenient but it just doesn't get my pulse racing in any way. Even though I dished out a bit of a hiding to my opponent, the course still managed to leave me feeling a bit flat!
I paid £25 as a members guest and am pleased I didn't pay any more.
In general, the sports facilities across the rest of the club look very impressive - this place could almost hold the Olympics on its own. Perhaps just not the golf.
Onwards and upwards.

Open parkland course that's harder to score well on than it looks. The short par 4's are well protected by bunkers and two of the four par 3's are over 200 yards! The three par 5's are relatively short by modern standards and give the medium handicapper good opportunities for those rare birdies!
