Loved the course. Although relatively short, there are a number of testing holes. Greens a little firm when we played, so nothing held. Fantastic to putt on though. The day was however spoiled a little by the rudeness of the pro Graham Hill. Could not have made it more difficult for our group to get a game. Whilst dealing with me, he interrupted and started dealing with someone else in the pro shop. Unbelievably rude
We had a society day there in mid june. The course was in fantastic condition and their society package was first class. They gave us a very good allround experience. I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a good days golf.
An excellent all round golf course with greens that are now some of the best in the county. It plays like a links course in the summer and a parkland course during spring and autumn, so offers a very different challenge depending on the time of year and weather conditions. The clubhouse is a very impressive Grade I listed building, known as "Rochford Hall" and is one of the oldest clubhouses in the world. It was once the home of Anne Boleyn and her family, so the whole place is steeped in history and stories of Henry VIII. It is certainly a course that comes highly recommended and a clubhouse well worth visiting, even if you're not a golfer!
rochford hundred is a great couse. it is short but tight and tricky. the greens are fast and hold well. i would recomend it to anyone.
