I played this course last week on our Captain's Exchange Day. What a lovely course. Lovely wide fairways which were in excellent condition. The course is both challenging and interesting with just the right amount of hills. Only downside was I found the greens very slow. The restaurant staff were extremely attentive, and provided the most wonderful buffet salad and really yummy deserts to follow. One of the golf courses I would love to play again some time soon.

I try and make a visit to this wonderful course each time I visit UK. So far I have played there three times. The course has always been in excellent condition, despite the awful UK weather. A great challenge to golfers of all standards and a delight to play.

Im a member at worksop golf club and i play off 9 and i visited retford on the 18/5/08 One of the best golf courses in the county with the best green and bunkers ive played on in years. The course is a difficult challenge with undulating greens and sloping fairways that make a good course even better Reccomend it to everyone

I have played twice at Retford now and have found the course to be in good cond even after the recent snow, The greens were in good cond, and played well. The new club house is a real bonus with great veiws over the 1st and 18th fairways. All in all a good park land course to play.

I played retford today 1/11/04 and enjoyed the experience. The course was in good condition despite the recent bad weather.Greens and bunkers excellant but 2 holes on temps. You need to be very accurate all the way round. All the holes are varied and greens undulating but fair. The only drawback is the course is difficult to find at the first visit despite a route map. Recorded a net 67. Will be playing here again. J.G. SOUTH YORKSHIRE.

I played the course last July (2001) in a charity tournament. The new clubhouse made a great first impression ... facilities are fantastic and we all received a very friendly welcome. The course itself was in great condition (with bunkers and greens deserving particular praise) and proved to be very challenging ... it's necessary to be accurate off the tee and to be quite a long hitter. A couple of the par 3's were interestingly different to say the least!!

I PLAYED THIS COURSE ON SEPT 10TH 1999,WITH THE TOPLADS GOLF SOCIETY.IT PROVED TO BE AN EXCELLENT DAY,THE COURSE IS FIRST CLASS WITH THE GREENS BEING THE BEST WE HAD PLAYED ON ALL YEAR.YOU ARE MADE TO FEEL VERY WELCOME BY THE MEMBERS AND THE SECRETARY AND THE PROFESSIONAL WERE VERY FLEXIBLE. THE COURSE IS HAVING A NEW CLUBHOUSE BUILT,WHICH OPENS AT XMAS,THIS WILL REALLY PUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE AND DO THE COURSE JUSTICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND RETFORD TO ANYONE WHO PLAYS GOLF.
