up until last month i had played every single course in northern ireland.116 in total.this is the second time ive played this course in the last 4 years.since the last time they have mercifully removed some bunkers.the bunkers are very poor and contain what i would describe as gravel as opposed to sand.the 'water hazards 'are also all dry.the 17th ditch is a particular eyesore.its not all bad.the club is known for poor drainage but they seem to have rectified this.the 6th hole is a par 3 which is pleasing to the eye.the signature hole 9th is also a nice par 5.some easy birdie opps on front nine and some challenging long par 4s.
its a wonderful golf course played last year with our society from england we will be there on friday the 01/09/06 for two rounds par three over the pond is a fantastic hole
A great course, in excellant condition, the back nine is sometimes prone to a little flooding however it has the wonderful Bann Leap, take your driver out and curl it over the river! The 6th is also a great par 3, a PW over a beautiful man made lake onto the green no room for mistakes.
The food in the club house is excellant and the staff all very friendly.
