We found the course in excellent condition and the greens were great albeit slower than my home course and took a while to register. The staff were very very good with especial praise to Kayleigh who looked after, also Liam and the club professional. Definitely one we shall be coming back to in the near future

I played this course after playing anumber of the "named" courses in Northumberland and Durham. Having played the course previously I must echo the comments of the regional golf magazine in what an improvement over the last six months. The greens although slow were true and flat, a bit more shape would be good. The fairways were well defined. The proshop is very well stocked, I thought my club pro stocked everything, he has now been surpassed. The only downside is the prices in the clubhoue, they seem to have been set at a level for the nearby caravan park and not for golfers. Would I return, yes we have already booked to stay in one of the cabins for two nights in August.

Played here on Thursday 23 October. Fancied a change from my local course so for the cost decided to plump for Swarland. Was initially impressed with the Clubhouse and pro Shop when driving in. Had spot of lunch before play which was reasonably priced and was very tasty. The course lets itself down in a couple of ways even though we enjoyed our round. Watch out for the first couple of holes as you may get lost due to the lack of signs telling you where to go next!! We had to ask a member after hole 2 what the layout of the course was as no map is on scorecard. The greens were in fantastic nick the only one downfall regarding the greens is the lack of contours or shape, most are flat and predictable. The course at times does go up, then down, then up as if no thought has gone into the design. New bunkers were being put in as we played if somewhat shallow. All in all the course has potential if a few enhancements are made, it has the setting and potential to be a very popular golf club. Will visit again in the summer without a doubt now that we know our way around.

Played on tues 15th July, course was fantastic and very challenging. Shot 150! which didnt include other shots!!!! Hired the golf buggies aswell for 7.50, " cheap as chips", would definately play again, and the meals in the bar were lovely. Would recommend the cumberland sausage!!!!!!!!!

Played this course on 3rd May 03 and had a great day out ,it was in good condition even after a few days of rain and the staff were great. An excellent course to play if your not playing your best as the odd stray tee shot does not cost you too much in the way of strokes or balls. If you book when they are not too busy you can use 2 fore 1 vouchers and it will only cost you £10 each at the weekend and for that price you can't complain.

FIRST VISIT I FOUND THE COURSE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION IN A VERY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY SIDE SETTING. NOT AS EASY AS IT FIRST LOOKED BUT STILL A CHALLENGE. ALL AT THE CLUB MADE ME VERY WELCOME WHICH LED ME TO BECOME A MEMBER. NOT TOO SURE WHAT THE PREVIOUS REVIEWER WAS GETTING AT!? I GUESS HE JUST HAD A BAD ROUND.

Course in poor condition. Plays quite long as drainage is not very good, except around the very small greens. So you end up playing shots of 160 - 220 yards into small rock hard greens, not very rewarding. Layout poor as well, play down one way, then up, then down, etc. Plus point is it wasn't very busy and it was only 14 pounds.
