My husband and I played here for the first time. We are members at Cams Hall and it was our first time playing another Crown Golf course. We had heard good things about Paultons and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, the course was in great condition and provided some interesting challenges, particularly "Jan's Dilema", the par 3 over a water lily filled pond! We will certainly come back to play again very soon.

I played on 5/8/11 for the first time at this course. I have heard good reviews about it and I was certainly not dissopotinted! It was tricky in parts but also a great enjoyable course because of the reachable holes (par 5 13th). Great signature water hole, well maintained fairways, greens good but let down a bit by people not repairing there pitch marks! All round great course I was very impressed and will be visiting again.

Played two rounds here last Saturday with our twenty member Society. Two starting times of 1004 and 1508 were adhered to and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Sandwiches and soup were part of our package and as it was exceptionally hot weather, the latter was willingly switched into generous portions of chips. The course is much more challenging than perhaps appears at first sight and careful club selection important taking into account the additional distances achieved with warm weather and rock hard fairways. The greens were in good condition, ran true and well presented.Whilst Saturday is always going to be very busy,we had the misfortune to get behind one group who were struggling with a novice player and had lost several holes. Hoever, we did ask to be let through as we were conscious of the time constraints with two rounds to play and this was politely achieved. We did make the schedule and the food for lunch was very good quality and plentiful. The only criticism I would make is that the rough was far too long and made not only searching for a ball unnecessarily difficult but also the recovery shot if one found the ball in the first place. The overall experience was good and can be recommended.

Part of the Crown Golf group Paultons really surprised me when I returned here in February following an absence of a couple of years. I have played the course several times over the last six or seven years and remember it in winter as a bit of a quagmire but following a recommendation from a friend I thought I would go back and give it a go and I was hugely impressed. Well maintained the greens were in excellent condition for the time of year (February) and despite recent substantial rain the fairways were firm. The only disappointment wa the number of mats on the tees. It is not the most challenging course you will play with some very open hole but holes 11 through 14 are played between mature trees and several holes feature water hazards that can ruin a decent score. Some excellent early bird and twilight deals make this course excellent value for money.

Very nice course in great condition. Not a great challenge with trees or water only on a few holes but highly enjoyable. Staff very pleasant. Well worth a visit. Many thanks

Recently went round the par 3 course while on holiday in the area and was pleasantly surprised. The greens, often neglected on short courses, were a good size and well cared for. The uphill holes are quite challenging, although nothing longer than a good 4 iron. I was also impressed with the staff at Paultons (thanks for the loan of the clubs) and lunch was pleasant and good value. The 18 hole course looks good with plenty of mature trees and next time I'm in the area that's where I'm heading.

Love the fact that you get to view the water hole on your car journey towards the club house. I'm sure it gives new comers a few jitters. That hole looks much longer from the tee. You only get to hear the noise from Paultons Park on 8th green and 9th tee, and in the 7 years that I've sliced and hooked my way round the course its not effected my game. Course is good in all weathers, my best score in driving rain (much to friend Simon's annoyance) shows the terrific hard work of the groundskeepers. Buggies also available to hire, if you want a little extra help to your game. (or want to make your mate feel travel sick eh Mark)

Paultons is an excellent course and quite varied. It's kept in good condition and so far this winter have had very few temp tees and no temp greens. Front 9 is interesting and has a nice downhill opening hole.Hole 3 gives you an indication of what you may find on the back 9 as it's quite a tight par 3 and amongst the trees. Hole 15 over the water is a great hole(only if you get it over). I think hole 13-17 will decide whether you have a good or bad round as these are tough holes. A really good course that is a little pricey but does not get boring. The par 3 course is excellent and worth a go just to practice.

HI I love playing the golf course it is in a lovely setting, can get a bit busy on weekends but still you mange to move at a reasonable pace. The only downside for my friends and I is the cost in the clubhouse after a round. The drinks are a little expensive as we do not drink alcohol. But I suppose that is par for the course in most clubhouses.

Played this course on 14/05/05 in a large society. The course was in excellent condition. The course is generally quite open and forgiving except for a run of four or five very tight holes from twelth onwards. The noise form the adjoining theme park was not obtrusive and only noticable on two or three holes. I would highly recommend this course and it is great value.

Played this course on Saturday 24th July 2004. Course was in excellent condition and was a pleasure to play. Some very challenging holes but well balanced with some very wide forgiving fairways. Excellent club house facilites and a course marshall to ensure no problems at tee off time.Would recommend course and facilites to anyone. Even found the occassional roar from the Dinosaurs at the Theme Park next door amusing. Perhaps because I played 8 under my handicap!!

Played here on March 28th 2004. The course was in really good nick considering we have just come through winter and at £22.00 was more than other courses in the area but you can see why. All 18 greens were in play and only a few temp tees. I would reccomend this to anyone for a good quality round of golf!. After the round we had a Burger and chips and a pint which was just what the doctor ordered and was very reasonable. I,ll be back as arnie would say.

Played Paultons Last Saturday 10th Jan. I was very impressed with both the course and staff in general. Although busy I has a most enjoyable round and at £22 was cheap for the standard of Golf Course. I will certainly be back here if nothing else for the golf course and friendly atmosphere in the clubhouse.

I have been a member of this course for a few months now, and as a novice i find this course a challenge and joy (most day's). I have played 4 or 5 different courses and would recommend this one to everyone from amature to pro. It is so nice to walk around this course with 3 to 4 different levels of rough on every hole, and it rivals the beauty of the pga courses you see in america and the uk on t.v. Yes you do get a roar from the dinosaurs at paultons park next door on a couple of holes. But this soon subsides after they have fed on a few kids walking around the park. (last comment slightly incorrect!) It subsides after eating LOTS of kids!! yours sincerley steve coombs

Played this course on Wednesday 6th of August 2003 whilst down on holiday in the area-great really as the wife and children could visit Paultons too-so everyone happy. Fairly busy on course but not delayed so much as to be slowed up. Was "breaking in a a new set of irons" so hit shots different to normal but the course was in great condition and played well especailly the par 3s. Good clubhouse although the changing rooms are a little smaller than expected but they were clean and pleasant, which is the main thing- and that was at 1400hrs.Will definitly play again there and recommend it to anyone too. I played this in July 2003 and it provided pretty good value for money (£22 on a Saturday). There is a nice variation in the course with a split between wide open fairways and narrow tree lined Par 3's. The greens were in excellent condition and I would definitely go back.

Normally the term Golf Centre fills me full of dread since I've had numerous bad experiences but to my delight this was a cracking course kept in superb condition and at £12 (Weekday twilight rate) was an absolute bargain. There were some superb tree lined par 4/5 holes and the par 3's were all good holes. We managed to avoid any delays but the course did seem quite busy in places which for such a good course at such reasonable prices I'm not surprised.

I played Paultons Golf Centre 29/04/03. I thoroughly enjoyed the course, even though the weather was attrocious. Playing most of my golf on a links course, it is very satisfying to see a well struck shot sit and even spin back occasionally - a tribute to the condition of the greens. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I look forward to my next visit!

This message is for the powers that be who are responsible for this web site. I'm a member of the greens staff at Paultons golf centre and would like to thank those that have entered their comments. I would also just like to mention that Mr R. Park has not worked at Paultons for some 3 years or so, so whom ever updated this information in 2002 didn't do a very good job of it. Surely it would be sensible to give the manager a ring Mr R.Climas to aquire the correct info on our course. Thankyou and goodbye.

Easy to find friendly club Visited in July 2002. an attractive course spoiled by people wearing cut off jeans and trainers. The local players were friendly but you cannot concentrate on your game due to the loud Dinosour roar from the local theme park every 45 seconds. That said worth another visit. I whish to record a most enjoyable round of golf at this venue on 26th August 01. This course is well set up and perfectly presented for golf of the highest standard. The greens are near perfect, and the fairways are a tribute to the green keepers. My playing partner for the day was my Brother in Law, Will Carter both of us enjoyed a few pars and a couple of birdies. Afterwards we enjoyed a relaxing drink with our wives, Meg and Anne on the clubhouse patio. A perfect days golf!

Newish course open to all, but is maturing well. Some plain holes but the second half from the severe dog leg 10th has the feel of playing in Surrey with difficult holes played through and around pine trees. Overall, a very fine course and well worth the œ13 midweek green fee.
