Great course, well maintained. Played on a lovely April mid-week afternoon by myself. Agree with previous comments re difficulty in finding your way around and would advise you load the course on your GPS or get a planner before teeing off as some holes are blind or dog legged and it calls for a bit of guess work (the 1st is a dog leg left in case you're wondering). The tees, fairways, bunkers and greens were in excellent condition and I would highly recommend you give this course a go - especially as they're doing green fees for a recession busting £16. Didn't have time to visit other facilities but it looks as if they've got a nice pub on-site and a well stocked, small pro-shop and members/visitors seemed friendly.

Played there on a society day last week, and I’d agree with some the points made by the previous reviewer, although overall, I found it a hugely enjoyable day out, as indeed did most of our society. The course was in excellent knick throughout; My only criticism of the condition would be the quantity of sand in several bunkers; The greens were good. There are now 100 and 150 yard markers on the holes. A course planner would be a real improvement though. Would I go again ? Definitely.

A well kept and presented course but they don't tell you that it set into a hillside. Without a Course Planner, map on the card, or hole plan at the tee; it is a culture shock to find ten(?) doglegs and not a marker post in site...not exactly helpful when playing a course for the first time in a competition. Bunkers are well kept and the greens look reasonably good until you try and putt...felt like about four on a stint metre.Would I go again? Sorry to say, no.

Ormonde Fields is proving to be the best course in the whole of Codnor. The greens are truly magnificent and the drainage is only surpassed by Royal Shirland.
