Leg 2 of our short tour. Out of Pinhal and Quinta do lago sth, Millennium was my least favourite however its still a nice track in very good condition save for a couple of diseased greens on the back nine. We walked which was quite comfortable with only one lonf green to tee walk. The course comprises a dozen quite open holes which were pretty straightforward. A short loop on the back nine round a tight villa surrounded leg is quite wonderful with excellent and much more challenging holes. Nice clubhouse. Unusal Algarve dear prices for buggies etc. I would describe Millennium as a good tour filler, but not likely to be your 'stand out' location.

Nice course but have played better. Surrounding villas are out of this world. Course condition not the best, patchy fairways and some greens with bare scabby patch's. Good test all the same. As for value for money, way over the top. Cost £120 for the round which included club hire and 3 Pro V1'S (£20 for sleeve of 3)

2nd leg of our four course tour, more open than Pinhal and probably more features, good fairways and greens for this time of year, but still nothing out of the ordinary, beginning to think vilamoura is over-hyped.Still got Victoria and Old Course to come.

Put your drive in play and the par 4 1st at Millennium may yield a birdie. An approach shot that hold the green on the par 4 2nd may also result in a birdie or definite par. From here you play the next few holes in the pleasant umbrella pine lined part of the course which starts with a long par 3. The uphill par 5 4th is a tough hole if you’re not straight with your woods and the par 4 5th is stoke index 1. A cute par 3 follows with water to the left side of the green and the 7th can return a high score if the drive is not good. The par 5 8th is a fairly easy hole that can return a birdie and depending on the wind the short par 4 9th is drivable. The back 9 begins with a par 4 where the approach shot is the key and this hole is followed by a straight but long par 5. The back 9 has two fairly simple par 3’s, a birdie opportunity short par 4 and the 17th requires planning. For the 18th, remember that the green is tucked behind hidden water. Of the standard courses in Villamoura (Laguna, Millennium & Pinhal), it is Millennium that offers the best conditioned and interesting course with a variety of good holes. If you play Millennium, Laguna and Pinhal as part of a golfing tour package then I’m quite sure that you’ll like Millennium the bes of the three. The clubhouse offers freshly squeezed juices albeit at a price.
