BE WARNED! At present, June 2005, the course and clubhouse are being re-constructed. Only six holes are available for play but for £5 mid-week can be played as often as you like. That won't be very often however. The six holes are neglected with the "greens" being in the worst condition of any that I have seen. On the day I played, what grass there was was uncut, as were the weeds. Several flags were missing which meant it was difficult to know if you were playing to an open green or one that was closed. Several had been vandalised.
The bunkers were no better! Apparently unmaintained and full of weeds.
Even allowing for the work being done, this course is as near to one which should be paying you as I have ever played!
One bright note, the pro shop is very well stocked and reasonably priced with staff eager to help.
No doubt this place will be worth a visit when it is fully re-opened but at the moment......!
