Having played the course on Easter Monday I must say I was rather disappointed with the condition of the course. The web site indicated after a tough winter it was in excellent condition and improving daily however the day I played it was far from excellent. Fairways were uncut and long, greens varied greatly in condition making putting very difficut and the general feeling was of a course in need of alot of attention. Whilst it is a short course it has some interesting holes but they are going to have to improve things significantly to ever justify a return visit.

I have played Lee several times with a couple of mates who are members. I always look forward to playing at Lee, its a nice course with some interesting holes. There is a par 3 on the back nine that is as nice a hole as you could want to play. You play from a raised tee to a sloping green surrounded by bunkers with an area both side that allows for a fade or draw. But be aware your next shot is over a bunker to a green that slope away from you, tricky but a great hole. Lots of irons off tee, tree that sometimes help and sometimes don't, (hole-in-one off a wayward tee shot into the woods and rebounding into the hole, might bring memories to a member at Lee). Very interesting, worth the fee and always worth a return.

I am a member at Lee. The first 4 holes do not need a wood, a safe iron shot is required. The 5th and 6th are both par 5's and not too difficult as long as you stay out of the trees and gorse. The 8th hole is a good hole and needs two accurate shots to get to the green safely. The 9th is easy to reach, but the green is two-tiered, and difficult to find the line and length. The inward nine is more difficult than the outward nine. All the par 3's are long and well protected by bunkers, with long narrow greens. You will do well to walk off with three par 3's on this half. The 15th, 16th and 18th are difficult par 4's and provide a good test of your ability. Although only a par 69, and would benefit from the extra 2 par 5's, this course will test you.
