Played here last week had a lovely welcome from the clubhouse staff and pro, the course being 100 yrs old I expected a more mature layout some good holes but left very disapointed, the condition was ok but the greens slow and jumpy, the meal afterwards was good.

Not the easiest place to find in the middle of a large housing estate, so go prepared. Warm welcome, cosy clubhouse with very good food. Although it has been there for 100 years the course does not have the maturity you would expect - lots of young trees and new looking holes. Undulating, but without any really memorable holes, an exception being the short par 3 11th. Good condition and reasonable value on the County Card, but nothing to make you want to rush back.

Played here today and myself and playing partner both thoroughly enjoyed it. 90% of the members had had a shotgun start so we pretty much had the course to ourselves teeing off at 1pm. Quite a forgiving course I'd have to say with not a lot of rough (maybe in the summer they let it grow more). You can be wayward and get away with it most of the time. Some good holes - a couple of blind tee shots to markers, some slight doglegs, and good sloping greens which I bet are tough in the summer. Very friendly clubhouse. Altogether an excellent day - recommended.

I played this course with my wife in late October and was really impressed with the helpful attitude of the staff and the members. People went out of their way to make us feel welcome and, although the round was slow because of a society, the course was a pleasure to play on a sunny Autumn day.A winter fee of £15.00 each was also excellent value.
