Kirton Holme Golf Club

A lovely little course with a friendly atmosphere. Well laid out and not too challenging. As a high handicapper I found it a straightforward course and enjoyed every one of the 9 holes immensely. The only par 5 is a long old beast, but straight hitters will enjoy their golf at Kirton Holme, and big hitters will find some of the par 4s quite short and pars are achievable for even a beginner like me.
A pleasant course run by nice people; I'll be back and am even considering membership in the future. A challenging course; with water in play on a high number of holes. it seems like most of the early greens are guarded by water so running it up to the green is not an option; a challenge to anyones short game.
I have yet to get the wedge out for the sand; as there isn't any! The course and club are under new management and they have big plans, the course deserves all the plans to be fulfilled as it is a lovely course and just needs the facilities to come up to scratch to make this a wonderful golf club,
