Friendly welcome when entering the club house. Facility's were ok, with a good range of practice facility's. The coarse unfortunately was not quite up to the same standard, with US open style rough and greens so firm they were impossible. All in all a nice little lay out in bad need of water!!

Played here April ,2015 . My second visit here after a 10 year gap . Overall , i quite enjoyed playing here again .Course is fairly open & quite high up so good to play on a sunny day & also fairly remote so is quite peaceful . I liked the first 8 holes although the rest are decent.I also liked the bunker positioning & that instead of having vast american style bunkers they were smaller & more subtle & overall the course has been quite well designed although it could maybe do with a short par 3. Nice clubhouse with a relaxed feel & a pleasant outside patio seating area . Greenstaff were helpful & welcoming unlike the person in the pro shop .There was also an issue with the green fee we'd been quoted when booking which went up when we went to pay & was reluctantly honoured. Kevin B.

Played yesterday. Although it has rained a lot recently I was surprised at how dry the course was with only two or three holes a little wet and the greens in particular were dry and firm, as if it hadn't rained for weeks. Course was nice and tidy and a few improvements have been made/ are being made since last time I played such as a new pond on the 15th and a new path between the 2nd and 3rd holes. Didn't eat any food so can't comment on that but bar and reception staff friendly and helpful. Recommended

I played this course towards the back end of last season but am only now getting around to write a review. The clubhouse is great, a far cry from the portacabin days of old. Staff are friendly and helpful and the pre game breakfast was lovely. The course itself looks a bit like a links, with deep bunkers and punishing rough, which although ball finding is not too much of a problem getting out often requires no more than a wedge. Greens are fast and true, if you miss a putt its your fault! Can't recommend highly enough, will definately be returning as soon as possible.

Course was in good condition, and a fair test of golf. Excellent food and a friendly welcome from the staff. First rate practice facilities with covered driving range at only £2 for 50 balls, and multiple short game areas. Overall a very enjoyable day.

when u look at what the course has to offer the average golfer u can only come up with one conclusion, major value for money. ok its open in places but it does not detract from a good round of golf. i would say this the idea course for people who are really getting into the game, but have never been on a more established course/club. it asks u to use all your clubs/shots and the greens are great. if u want to come home from a golf course knowing u got your moneys worth this is the place for u.

Played here on Tuesday 12/07/05 using a 2 FORE 1 voucher (£11each).A pleasant surprise.Course was in good condition.Clubhouse up & running.Fairly open with fairly big interesting undulating greens.Seems very quiet midweek as we played on a sunny day & virtually had the whole course to ourselves.Nice gentle downhill par5 to start & a cracking strategic par4 18th with a big links bunker in front of the green to finish.Front 9 you can open your shoulders & back 9 is more positional.A good feel to the course & it's remote, relaxed, tranquil & scenic. Slight niggles.Par 3s aren't anything special(3 are just long whacks off whites).Holes 3 to 5 go in a loop & come back to the 2nd green.Could be a bit bleak in the winter.Wouldn't pay £22 for it but definately recommended for £11. Played on 06/07/05. Fantastic Course in perfect location. The staff werer extremely helpful and the clubhouse is excellent. The course played well (shame about my golf)and the greens were quality, fast, true and with very few pitch marks. The nature of the course makes it a real challenge and well exceptional value @ £22. I have played a few courses in the UK and Kirtlington rates among the best, if not the best. Even in very icy conditions you will be lucky to see even one temporary green. Bar staff is very friendly and if you are looking for a quiet round of golf, this is certainly the course for you. Congratulations with a great course.

Just played here and was very impressed with the whole place. The course is in wonderful condition with the greens being large in size and with lots of slopes and undulations which proved to be fast and required lots of skill but very enjoyable to putt on. The holes where all different but all had something interesting about them. For the price of 22pounds at the weekend an absolutely bargain and a course I will certainly play again, one of the better courses around the Oxon area, only let down by the portocabin club house but dont be put off by this as it was very friendly and a joy to have a drink in.

This ia a hidden gem. It is cheap, but in excellent condition. One has to think one's way around, particularly on the greens. Do not be put off by the clubhouse, and be ready to use most of your shots.

JUST PLAYED THIS GREAT LITTLE COURSE 25/10/99, AFTER 3 DAYS OF RAIN JUST 1 GREEN HAD A SMALL PUDDLE ON IT. THE CLUB HOUSE IS A PORTER CABIN AT THE MOMENT , BUT ITS THE GREENS THAT GIVE HOURS OF FUN ,THERE NOT A FLAT GREEN ON THE COURSE AND IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AT THIS TIME OF YEAR, THE STAFF TELL ME ITS LIKE PLAYING ON GLASS IN THE SUMMER. THE COURSE IS NOT LONG, BUT THE ROUGH IS THE PROBLEM IF YOU SPRAY A BALL ABOUT . GREAT VALUE AT £15 MIDWEEK .

The Course is mainly a Parkland course, the back 9 having more character that the front 9. Relatively easy to play with few difficult hazards. Well maintained. Large single story portacabin club house. Very friendly staff and adequate bar and dining facilities.
