What an absolute gem of a course. OK so we started off a bit shaky when the kitchen wasn't open for our preordered coffee and bacon sandwiches but after that we were treated to a cracker.
Each hole had a different challenge, greens were in superb condition and despite the rain in the previous days the course played brillant.
If you haven't played this course then get on the phone and book a round - you won't be disappointed.
Charming, mature club with some very nasty pointy clingy rough. I particularly liked some of the fairways with corrugations from medieval farming practices - every lie was either uphill or downhill! Hole 17 required a straight drive out of a tunnel of centuries-old trees. Thanks again to our hosts from a local company near Desford.
