we started our 5 day society trip with a trip to Kingsknowe and i have mixed feelings about the course. we all received a nice welcolm from the members and bar staff before having a putt on the putting green outside. after doing so we made our way across to the first tee to find the first green was on a temp at the bottom of a dip when the main green looked perfectly fine to me! the course has a lot of severe slopes on fairways and it might just be me but i really dont like playing when you hit a great drive to then watch your ball run off into the first cut of rough even after taking into account the slopes. the greens were pretty good and the course isnt overly long so would probably suit a mid to high handicapper and a lot of the older guys in our group seemed to enjoy the course. it is quite hilly in places though and it seemed a lot longer in a very stiff cold breeze. its not a course i would rush back to but not a bad course if youre in the area and looking for a fairly cheap game. overall 5.5 out of 10

Played on Monday 27 April 2015 as part of our week golf trip in Edinburgh Area. A decent course to start, not too long had some interesting holes, a couple with views of an apartment block that resembled a prison camp! but not that noticeable lol A lot of holes where the fairways were sloped so you hit a great tee shot and at times your ball ran off into semi rough which was a pain. Still worth a play and for £20 on a Monday which included a Tea & Bacon Sandwich good value. Friendly members as were the bar staff and the gentleman in the pro shop (which I don't think was the pro)
