Played Kings Acre twice this year but unfortunately on both occassions the course was water logged. Considering the weather the course was in reasonable condition except in the valley at holes 15,16 and 17. I could have done with a tractor to get about at that point due to the severely flooded parts. The course itself is a good challenge for all golfers. Some tight fairways where straight drives are a must. I found the greens to be in good condition with the exception of the flooded parts but other than that they were good. I would highly recommend the course providing it was a nice sunny day otherwise it's a real struggle. My motocaddy run out of steam for the first time ever coming up the hill at 17 and believe me when i say you need to be fit to push a trolley up that hill. The best part of my visit to Kings Acre is the range which is fantastic with each bay marked out for distances to the various flags mounted on REAL greens. It is a pleasure to practice there and a place I have returned to at least 7/8 times so far! Cost me £29 for my round and £7.00 for 100 balls at the range. To me the price of the course should reflect the condition of the course... In my case £10 for the round because it was worth no more! Will I go back and play again? Only if the course is dry and in good condition.

This is a course well worth a visit. Superb layout with great greens. The only problem was the weather which no one can control. Pro and clubhouse staff very helpful and friendly. The only problem for me was the locker room which needs updating.

Played the Kings Acre on 24th April and I really enjoyed the course. The greens were in excellent condition and played true. There were a few tough holes on the course and several hills to climb but I wouldnt let that put you off playing here. The scenery is beautiful and all the staff were so helpful and the food was great (try the paninis)!!!! I really enjoyed my game of golf at the Kings Acre and would certainly play it again. It has a great finishing hole with water on both sides so choose your club wisely.

Played here on 24 April 2007, Great course in excellent condition, some testing holes, greens in fab condition, clubhouse really modern with the best driving range i have been too even if a little pricy (reduce there rates and the range would get loads of use) Kings acre take note! A course i woul recommend and play agian given the chance. The value for money rating is based on the range and not the green fee.

I played Kings Acre in Mid April, the course was supurb, all holes setting a challange.Greens were in great condition for time of year, a long course wih lots of climbs to attack. The club house was in mint condition and very welcoming, only thing is if you would like to hit balls on the driving range the price is a liitle to high, approx 10p per ball (Bit expencive) would have spent more on driving range had it been a little cheaper.

A very enjoyable course with a few nice holes most notably the Par 5 dog leg 15th and the 18th with 2 ponds, a good test of golf for all levels. Course was in good condition and the food and hospitality was excellent. I'd recommend anyone top play here

I have personally only played this course once, and came back to my local with so much enthisiasm , that we now make sure we book in advance to make it our first outing of our season. Not only is the course in perfect condition ,has so many scenic holes , brilliant facilities , but has one of the friendliest staff i have met.

As a new member at Kings Acre, I have found this course extremely suitable for all ranges of golfers from a high to a low handicapper. The course is set in lovely surroundings, which only help to enhance the atmosphere and the enjoyment of a round of golf. I would recommend this course to anyone as for the security I personally have never had any problems there or have I ever known anyone else to have had any problems with the car being broken into and have used this course many times even before one was a member. Also I have found the staff to be very help full and friendly

Played King's Acre for the first time on Thursday June 6. Thoroughly enjoyable. Beautifully maintained and extremely welcoming staff. Look forward to repeating the experience and felt you should know. Thanks again.

I've played this course several times over the last year and find the course excellent and the staff extremely curteous and helpful. Technically, the course has elements which suit all golfers and as a relatively high handicapper, who plays with a wide range of golfers, I find this course suits both levels. The staff seem to have the right idea with the development of the complex with changes and improvements coming online all the time. Surprised about the comment on security - the car park is covered CCTV/Flood Lights and i've never heard of a problem. The car park's got some fairly fancy cars in it and i'm more than comfortable in parking my car there.

Not very good security. My car got broken into in the car park and none of the staff wanted to help.
