Hi, I have recently played this course again after a gap of 15 years!! The layout is first class, one of the best in the area. Greens were bumpy and poorer condition than I would expect for the time of year. One change that I found alarming was the introduction of riveted bunkers in a parkland course strange concept I thought. I must admit I do prefer links to parkland but I think that riveted bunkers have there place solely on a links course. The staff were first class in the pro shop & clubhouse. Overall a good day out.

I have been playing this course over the last 3 years and strongly recomend it to everyone. This year 2001 the course has had a lot of work carried out over the winter both with greens and fairways, and now the better weather is just around the corner all the work done has improved the course to that of a private course,if not better. I can guarantee that if you decide to play this course you will not be disapointed,or out of pocket,14 pounds a round BARGAIN!!!!!!

This is the first full season with the new Head greenkeeper (2000). The course has improved 110% since I played it 3 years ago. Although a Municipal course, it is a good test of your golfing ability. Parkland style course, wide fairways, but, if your not on the correct side of the fairway shooting for the green, tough. There is'nt one 'private' course within 20 miles that I would say was better value for money. 20 miles!! Don't forget this is the Central belt of Scotland there are loads of courses around here.
