I have played St Maxime a few times, it's a story of three 6's really. The first six holes run alongside each other, can be a few stray balls flying around, you need to keep your wits about you. The next six gradually take you uphill, until you play high abouve St Tropez Bay with really stunning views. The final six take you back inland and eventually, sharply downhill back to the clubhouse. Most of the course is good, imaginative and well kept. Most of it is pretty straight forward with no real tricks to catch you out, if you play solid you should score very well here. Be warned.....TAKE A BUGGY.....the changes in height around the course mean that you would need to be a mountain goat if you don't take a buggy. Good fun but not the best course in the area.
