I looked back at James T from 2000's comments and we did exactly the same. Four hours and 20 minutes to reach the 13th tee, and this having played the first three holes without anyone in front. The problem is not just overbooking but allowing every four ball to play with buggies. This should apparently speed play up but clearly at this course it does not. What a shame as the course was in good nick and was playing well with some interesting holes. My advice is have a course marshall because on walking through the groups the delay was caused by groups of 20 something 'golf punks' in buggies carreering around the course without any sense of play or care for the groups behind. A marshall would clearly be appropriate. Play early or don't play at all VFM so low because £35 for 12 holes is a little pricey in anyones book.

Played in August 2005. Using 2fore1 vouchers it was under £14 a day - so great value. Average course, but in good condition, and the greens were excellent. Lower 9 holes are built around the hill and are average parkland holes. The remainder are built up on the higher level of the hill and are much more interesting, though not especially difficult. Not the kind of course you would rush to go back to, but still a nice course.

played a three ball on 5th March 2005,The course had temporary Tee's (Mats) on all holes plus temporary greens on all but two holes. The Fairways were not cut and it was really very poor.I'm sure that in the summer the course would be greats with lovely veiws but at present its not worth the green fee.

Good interesting course however certainly not Woburn. A feel good course with reachable par 4's. Good quality greens with interesting par 3's.Well woth a trip out.

I made the mistake of playing this course on a Saturday. The front nine was painfully slow and we had to finish on hole 14 because of the time taken. The club had obviously overbooked the course. This aside the course itself was very playable with a good variety of holes and character. Only two short par 5's and some reachable par 4's restrict it potential for challenge. I will certainly play there again although probably on a weekday.
