Played here October ,2013. I found the club to be welcoming & friendly. I would say the course is worth playing but i wouldn't be that fussed about playing it again . Due to slightly limited space (as is fairly typical of Greater London courses ) it has an up & down feel to it in places. Gets hilly towards the end. Some nice short par 4's. The course was well presented . In the area i prefer Hendon & South Herts. Kevin B.

Played here in early July, it is a fantastic course with a really interesting layout, especially through holes 10, 11, 12, 13. Have played all the courses in north London over the years, and this is by far the best of the lot. The greens are fantastic, while the impressive clubhouse adds real character to the course.

We played on a bright sunny day, the layout of the course is pretty bland. The tee areas and fairways were in very poor condition. The greens are superb and fast. Is it worth £35, No way.

Why people say that it’s a nice course and one of the best in north London are wrong in my humble opinion. Hendon and Muswell Hill are far better to play and better value at this time of the year. I had played the course back in 2005 and it was far better then than now. I'm not sure if the Greenkeeper has changed or a different plan is in operation but I felt that more could have been done to improve the course. The Staff in the pro shop are very nice, but the equipment is a little over priced. I got some funny look's from one of the Greenkeepers who was cutting the fairways when I was playing down the 13th fairway. I will play the course in the summer and I hope that the Greens and state of the course improve. Back to Hendon for me for the time being.

I played this course for the first time last Friday 1/02/08. Green fees are reduced to £25 weekdays in winter, but even at that rate I felt a bit cheated given the very sodden condition of most of the course - tees, faiways AND greens. (Contrast this with another course I know not too far away that charges £15 weekdays in winter, is in better condition and is a far superior course anyway). Yes, January was a wet month, but even so I don't think it was that bad that if the course had been looked after better it should not have been this soggy - and in some places, even muddy. Which is a shame because it's quite a nice course, albeit a bit bland. Only one hole, the uphill par 3 12th, is worthy of any note, and even that's really nothing special. And it's one of those courses where the location of the next tee is not always obvious, and some are not at all well marked either - so make sure you get a course plan if it's your first time. As this is one of the closest courses to my home (that I can realistically get to play on) I'll give it another try in summer, but there's no way I'll go there again in winter.

Lovely course, all the staff very friendly and accomodating. In good condition and a fair test. Especially enjoyed the holes 10-13 and the finishing hole. The beautiful 12th is the pick, a wonderful par 3 through an avenue of trees. It made up for the triple bogey I scored on it.

A beautifully designed Parkland course. The course is a real joy to play. Everyone is tremendously friendly & welcoming. The greens are magnificent - super slick and quite deceiving. This is a must try course. You won't be dissapointed.

This is an outstanding course with lightning fast greens and well-kept fairways. Beware "Braid's Masterpiece" the par 3 12th hole which is extremely picturesque yet devilish. Don't be fooled into thinking you're safe when you reach the green - it is more than possible to 3 or 4 putt on this luscious carpet! Service is excellent and visitors are made very welcome indeed. Highly recommended!

What a glorious golf club, this place is first class. We had 22 play on Monday 7th August and were truly welcomed to the club and course - more so than many others our society have visited. The course is in excellent condition, the food was lovely and the service from all quarters was exceptional - This place is well worth the visit - we shall return next summer without a doubt. This was a really enjoyable round on a well established (1930s), interesting parkland course. Greens were in excellent condition, with quite forgiving wide fairways. Even on a Sunday we were not rushed or held up too much. The holes round the very impressive club house were the best (part of the second 9) whereas the first 9 felt more exposed and not up to the same level of interest as the inward 9. All in all definately worth the expense, good friendly pro shop/welcome, fabulous setting, wouldn't believe you were in north London, what more is needed?! Hi to Brian L!
