Played the course twice in a week in August 2010 at £21 after 4pm. Friendly people in the pro-shop and the members. Good greens with subtle slopes all over the place mean no 3 foot gimmees, got to concentrate on all the short putts. Lots of heather around means keeping the ball in play is a must. A few 400+ yard par 4s, several of which are downhill means most players can get to the green in two, but a couple of tough longer holes particularly the 3rd and 14th. Great views especially from the 16th. My favourite hole has to be the 6th, a par 5, chipped in from 60 yards for an eagle in my first round then holed a 15 footer for a birdie the 2nd time around! Really liked the 16th and 17th as well.
Overall a great course that will really test your golf, a real bargain using the twilight price.
Played 8/2006 and this is a good track. Nice and friendly people. Good value for money. Some nice holes, greens excellent and stunning views.
I have been fortunate to have played this wonderful course on a couple of occasions. Not only is the course a good test of your game the gem is to catch it on a glorious Devon day. The 16th hole is one of the best I have played on - a real test of nerve. Go there, play it, and I guarantee you will want to return.
