6 reviews of Dunkeld and Birnam Golf Club

I was one of a group of 16 who visited Dunkeld & Birnam on 21st July 2009. The course is excellent, very different and with some quite difficult second shots to a number of greens. The views on the first 9 are spectacular and the fairways and greens were in very good condition. Our group contained 7 from Canada and USA and they all said how much they enjoyed the course. The catering was very good....soup and fantastic sandwiches ...very welcome as the rain hit us on the back 9!

This is categorically my favourite golf course i have ever played on. The original 9 holes are not only breathtaking in terms of their scenery and terrain but also in their golfing challenge-some might say a little to much! On hearing that the club planned to add another nine holes to the course i was rather distraught, however even if they need a few years to bed in, the overall impression is an improvement. The 18th-which used to be the ninth-is a truly wonderful hole to finish what is not only a fantastic round of golf but a very good work out!

What a real fun course! 1st 9 holes [the old course] needs mountain goat agility, accuracy & a camera for the magnificent scenery. The fairways on the back 9 are still bedding in but with time will give pleasure to all who visit this friendly little club. Played 8/7/01.

Far and away the most spectacular views I have ever encountered on a course.
