4 reviews of Dunblane New Golf Club
The course was in great condition considering the time of year (we played in early December), so it was a pleasant surprise to find quality greens that ran well, which meant that putting wasn’t as difficult as it could have been. My partner and I both thought the track provided a good challenge and would so to for most golfers.
Favourite holes include the par-3 seventh which is a tricky uphill one which requires a straight shot to avoid the trouble at both the left and the large bunker on the right. Then the closing hole which is a par-5, really good finish to a good course as the putting green lies right next to the clubhouse which provided a sense of occasion to the day.
The Pro Shop was comprehensive and we were met with a very friendly welcome from the pro.
The clubhouse was superb – the lounge area was great and had a really good atmosphere to it and on top of this the food was excellent and was served with a smile.
the members of dunblane are extraordinarily hospitable; the golf course is robust with exceptional views of the grampian mountains and sterling castle; the head professional is a crack up and dunblane is always on my must play list when in central scotland. enjoy!
A start in front of the clubhouse bay windows add to an excellent test of skill and fitness on this hilly parkland course.
There are spectacular views over the surrounding hills from start to finish and the well stocked clubhouse offers a warm welcome upon your return.
A challenging course with lots to offer.
