Played this course for the first time in a west midlands match on the 03/06/10. A great test of golf using 2 different tee positions which makes each hole different second time around.
Info on the course}
1.Tees all ok
2.fairways good
3.greens small and in my opinion need to be cut down a few more mm as very slow and second time round foot prints were causing a issue with putts
4.Bunkers good, good to see consistant sand, only gripe not enough rakes or ball washers, only 9 holes so should have 1 on every hole.
5.Golf shop is poor dont expect to much
6.Clubhouse good, good service and food good value for money.
Overall i was very surprised as it is a tight course which will test your mental strengh ie- course management, you do need to play the right club to get the right position to score good.
The group we were with were great, Trevor who i played with gave lots of info and never left our side always having good conversation.
The other partner was quite but did give info and was complimentary at times ,my only gripe was that he answered his phone twice whilst playing a match ? very un proffesional ?
I would recomend this course to anyone who wants to have a good test.

Great little course this. It's off the beaten track a little, down a narrow road behind houses. The only road you can see the course from is the M6!
Your round starts off with two toughies. The opening 600+ yards par 5, with a tough drive and out of bounds all the way down the left needs no further description. You simply have to survive it! The second is 450 yards par 4 and is tougher than it looks. Keep your drive down the right hand side or you could be in trouble. Tricky uphill approach to a green hidden in a bowl.
Then it gets difficult!!!
The holes from here on in are quite tight with fairly small and undulating greens. Irons may be the order of the day off the tees on holes 3,6, and 8, with a tough par 3 4th, out of bounds left on the 7th and 'heart attack hill' to contend with on the 9th and you've got yourself a tricky little golf course.
Then you have to do it all again from different tees (blues) which although usually not far from the yellows, you would be surprised how different the holes play second time around.
Only gripes are that the bar is closed more often than not and the the greens have been a little bobbly although this has got better lately.
Play this little gem, you won't regret it!!

Great little coarse 616 yard 1st par 5 is a test and from then on you just dont know what to expect every hole has something different to offer. Layed out on a hilly site but it is so well planned out this makes it more interesting to play. winter tees were in opperation but were very well maintained. Some of the Greens were spongy and had just been spiked so putting was difficult but thats the time of year, fairways were perfect good sand in bunkers .I will definatly return in a few weeks time. Staff at the shop great! played a 2 ball x 18 for £20 not a bad deal all in all a pleasure, people take pride in this place and it shows.

Very nice course to play shame it is only 9 holes or it would be a lot better. The Greens & fairways are always well looked after. Not a course you can miss the fairways on without being in trouble as most fairways are tight and lined with trees. Definetley worth playing if not only for the opening 615 yard par 5!!! Monster!!!
