Nice 9-holer in the middle of the race track. Yes, horses do run round the course every now and then, which results in the place being shut (including the range) while they hoover the racetrack to remove all those wayard balls. So check there's not a race meet on at the weekend if you're plannign to go Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Reasonably straighforward, with few major surprises. 3 par-5s are the main attraction from such a tight space, and you can tell that space is a premium with fairways running parallel to each other. Greens are OK-ish, but new groundstaff might make a difference in the near future.
Also a 9-hole par-3 course is available to practice your short game. Just don't believe the yardages on the scorecard!
Considering the amount of rain we have had over the last 3 months, the course is in excellent condition. Although the course is flat it has been broken up by well placed trees and bunkers and was a delight to play. £8 for 9 holes on a Sunday is very good value. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended in my view.
