7 reviews of Club Vall D'Or Golf
play this course quite often greens can vary from hole to hole no real consistency. if teeing off early can be spoiled by club letting to many tee off from 10th hole creates backlog on back 9.overall worth a visit staff are more than helpful
went there in july and the course was in superb condition.fantastic course.the 3rd hole was breathtaking.the view was amazing.went back in september and the greens were in a terrible mess.we played the short par 3 4th hole and when we got to the green there was around 6 piles of sand in the middle of the green,so you had no putt to the hole.the front 9 are far superior to the back 9,although i hit my drive into the swiming pool on the 17th to which we all fell about laughing when the big german came out and said, zee ball is in zee swiming pool.but i would definetley recomend the course at the begining of the season.we went out an the morning and then again in the afternoon but we only paid for the buggy on the second round, the golf was free for the second round, which i thought was very nice of the ppl in the club to do.nice clubhouse too
Not in the best of condition when I played it as it was maintainence time (late September) but it was still pretty good. The front nine is one of the best I have played anywhere, each hole being un-interfered with by any other. Ladies, (or Gents if you are on the forward tees) make the effort and climb to the back tee on the third hole. WOW - What a view! From the fifth it's pretty good too. The back nine feels like its a secondary afterthought, being a lot more condensed with fairways running adjacent to each other. There are still some great holes though, and the sixteenth definatley deserves its stroke index one rating. I thought it was expensive though, although this side of the island is dearer than the Magaluf end. It is worth booking through your hotel, as I found they had cheaper deals with the course by a few Euros. The staff were helpful and spoke our language too, which helped! Worth the trip just for that view on the third.
Vall D'or was superb in great condition and should be included on anyones golfing agenda in Majorca.
So why are do many resort courses seem more interesting on the front nine than the back? Nice course, in good condition in April, challenging in places but not too demanding, but the first half is so much better than the back. Third hole very special, once you get your breath back from the climb to the tee. I presume from the dry stream bed that it was originally designed to have a water hazard running down the side of the fairway. Glad it's not there now; it would be a very, very difficult hole if it were. Back nine less interesting; not so well contained by trees and scrub, bit too up and down (a couple of blind shots that reflect poor design). Nice clubhouse; nice people.
Wonderful course, the views are amazing. If you like the type of courses that lets you use your head a little bir more than your distance with the driver youÝre gonna love Val DÝor.
But do get a buggy since itÝs pretty demanding even for a fit person.
After the game spend some time on the restaurants terrace and relax with a cold cerveza and the view of the meditteranean.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC COURSE AND CONDITION. A MUST TO PLAY IF YOU ARE IN THIS AREA.YOU WOULD BE WELL ADVISED TO TAKE YOUR CAMERA WITH YOU TO CAPTURE SOME BREATHTAKING VIEWS.ALSO A BUGGY WOULD BE ADVISABLE AS THE COURSE IS A LITTLE HILLY IN PLACES. (JULY 1999.)
