4 reviews of Chilwell Manor Golf Club

A superb test of golf, with tight narrow tree lined holes and amazing sloped greens. You have to be accurate off the tee or else you will struggle to get to the green. It was the county course for Nottingham this year and I can see why, it has a good mixture of holes that would test even the professional golfer. I was made to feel very welcome in the pro shop which had an excellent stock of everything that you need. The Clubhouse, changing rooms/locker rooms are excellent and the food was great value for money. Overall I would say Chilwell Manor is well worth a visit and is a cracking day out.

a lot of money for its condition, faiways are patch and bold in some areas, not very welcoming to visitors.

we played this course in june 05 and had an excellent day including the food and refreshments after our round. Although the course is not the longest it is however quite tight and accuracy is the priority with tree-lined fairways on a number of holes. The only downside was the changing facilities were being refurbished during our visit, however this was an acceptable inconvenience and was opened a few weeks after our visit. good course for all golfers

The course is a level parkland course designed by Tom Williamson in 1906. Over the last few years many trees have been added to the course making it a challenging course to play. Currently a project is being undertaken to reconstruct all 18 greens and 7 have already been completed. The new greens are being designed by Jonathan Tucker of the S.T.R.I, the construction work is being carried out by John Greasley's company. Several County fixtures are held at Chilwell each year.
