3 reviews of Chestfield (Whitstable) Golf Club
Good condition and challenging course, hard work on foot on a warm day as it is very hilly.
Well worth a visit
First time on this course, played on a lovely sunny day. Very friendly and helpfull lady in the pro shop, Course was in good condition but some of the fairways very bumpy and a long walk between some tees. Terrific views over Whitstable. If you are a senior I would recomend a buggy. Clubhouse dates back to 15th century, good food at a reasonable price. All in all an enjoyable day.
Was met by helpfull and polite staff in the pro shop. The first hole is a rather tight tee shot with very uneven fairway which is a suprise but that is the only troublesome fairway. The course is good and makes you play various shaped shots with good dog leg holes. Some holes are drivable though.
The second hole is a par 5 with the wind on the day was very challenging indeed. The Greens were fast true and hard to read. To come of this course with a low score was very pleasing. Staff in the half way house were great and the bacon roll was good too.
The clubhouse is very old but has a lot of charm. And the food was nice.
A feel this is a must play course.
