Our society played this course in early may ,we received a friendly welcome by the staff ,members and the pro .
had a great bacon butty and coffee ,a choice of evening meals which were superb
the course was fantastic and most of our players remarked that this was one of the best courses our society has played, some greens were a little short of grass but still ran true
Overall a great day and great value for money ,we are booking it again for next year

Really don't enjoy this course, every hole seems the same, just a straight tree lined fairway with average flat greens at the end of them. Not a lot of imagination was used when the designer came here, gets totally saturated in the wet weather and you know you've played 18 holes after a couple of painful walks up to the 'top half' of the course. Much better courses within a 15 minute drive.

Great course, seems good value. The course is very challenging and requires accurate tee shots due to the dense trees and out of bounds possibliities. However some holes still very long in length including holes 3,6,13,14 and 17.
Many greens are elevated making approaches very tough. I would give this course 5 stars but also say that it is one of the hardest courses in cheshire!!!
good luck

Surprised. Great course and very close to the town centre. Great views of Chester and the Welsh hills.
The course is set on two tiers with three of the holes teeing off the top tier down to the lower tier. No water traps, however trees are well established. I felt hole 6 should have the stroke index of 1.
It appears that a drainage system is newly installed and some of the channels need to bed a bit. Doesn't detract from the course though.
I shall definately play there again.

An excellent course with fantastic tree-lined fairways and well manicured greens that are very difficult to read. The 6th hole (a dogleg right) needs a booming drive and a long and accurate second to a raised, sloping green. Get a par and your doing well! A real test of golf on a course that was a pleasure to play. What more can I say!
