This course is now closed as from Dec 2010.
The lovely Chedington Court GC has finally closed for good Mid december 2010. After a few years of mal-administration, the club was put into receivership in the Autumn and the powers that be have decided to sell it all to a neighbouring farmer who is taking it back into farming. Such a shame that so many peoples hard work over the years has been allowed to get to this situation of permanent closure
I played Chedington Court twice in July 2010. My reception was first class and I have nothing but the highest praise for the staff, particularly KATE who was great. The course is most picturesque and was in jolly good nick when I was there.
Very dissappointed with all aspects. Layout was ok but greens were unplayable. Any approach from further than 60yds would go straight through the green. Needs to mature for a lot longer. I have played a lot of different courses and am afraid to say I cannot recommend this course and totally disagree with Fore magazines comments about the prettiness of the course.
I have played Chedington over the last couple of years and it as improved as the course matures. The greens are in a good condition and run quite true, and There are some really good driving holes yes it does suffer during the winter months but as the weather improves so does the course, it is well worth the green fees. The club house is small but improvements are in hand and the staff food and service are very good. Well worth a visit.
A delightful course that we really should not have been allowed to play. Without a doubt the course should have been closed or at least on temporary greens.
The design makes for interesting challenging golf on the majority of holes. We all left feeling like we'd like to return in the spring or summer, but wondering at the same time what condition the greens and fairways would be in after a long wet winter of heavy use !
Green fees now cost 18.00 weekdays and 22.00 weekends and bank holidays. The 10 hole green fee is no longer available.
A very picturesque course set down in a valley surrounded by Woodland, some challenging holes with genuine course management required all round the course.
The 7th and 10th are both drivable but with trees in your way its a brave and accurate shot required!
Described by 2-fore-1 as one of the prettiest courses in the country.
Doing a winter deal of unlimited golf, and any meal from the menu, weekdays only - £17.00
The course has now been extended to 18 holes, it has a par of 70.\r\nFees are 16 weekdays and 20 weekends, or 10 holes for 10.
