Oh i was driving past the course on the A57 and thought i have a game. Charged £20 and i was thinking it better be good. After all i played at Lincoln Golf course, Torksey, the day before for £17.50. After a few holes i had a sinking feeling that i was being conned. The course was poor, greens were poor, teeing area was poor, no signs directing you to the next hole. Then the 12th to 14th hole was across the busy A57, after dodging the cars doing 50mph like a rabbit, i was staring at 'no man's land'. For god sake it was no way be described as a golf course, the fairways were a joke and bumpy. The roughs were over a foot high and even if you do land on the fairway the ball will bounce anyway in any directions into the rough. And there were horses on the field, it no joke i am being serious. I don't particular wanted to hit any horses playing golf. The greens were surrounded by a wire fence to stop the horses walking on the greens. But the greens were diabolical. 20% had no grass on it. The flag on the flagstick says 'please repair pitch mark', i couldn't stop laughing.
A word of warning, if you are driving past the course, keep on going, find another course.

Not the best course I have ever played in fact one of the worst. Don't get me wrong there are some very good holes here but there also some very bad ones. The clubhouse staff were very plesant and food was OK. I believe first impresions count a lot and when you drive into the course it looks like a bomb site.
