9 reviews of Brickhampton Court Golf Complex

Considering the amount of effort and planning that went into this course, the placement of the bunkering is possibly the worst I have ever seen. The whole course held no interest at all, very good condition though.

Sadly the course has deteriorated so much that it is now in the worst codition it has ever been in. More members are increasingly becoming unhappy with the state of the course, the attitude of staff particularly the management. Pity as it has the potential to be a good course.

A genuine 'complex', with 9 and 18 hole courses, good practise areas and facilities (currently being expanded). Played both courses in late June. 9 hole is really an academy course with short par 3s and a few par 4s. Good for a warm up, but watch the low power cables. Main course is reasonable. Flat as a pancake, with a few features. Signature hole the 17th - a sort of mini sawgrass. Otherwise fairly bland. Ground was solid in the summer and apparently the clay makes it wet in the winter. Only gripes - it is on the flight path to the local airport and the course is constantly buzzed by helicopters which is unpleasant as they use the course landmarks to land. Played behind a few parties who clearly could have used a few lessons with the pro before they ventured on the course. £36 for both - average value

This course is fairly average, it has a few lakes and so on but not many decisive features. the course is flat and the greens can sometimes be unpredictable. The clubhouse however is exellent. the food is good and the staff are attentive and generally polite. however, as a junior player, you get the feeling that the club can be anti junior as you are not allowed into the proshop without an adult and the putting green is also out of bounds for juniors. Quite expensive but worth it for the food.

We played this on Bank Holiday Sunday during the middle of a Monthly Medal. The course is in excellent condition with tees and fairways well grassed and green. The rough is light although there is a major tree-planting exercise which is not only quite hazardous now, but in years to come will really tighten the course up. The greens were, on the whole, in good nick although a couple were a bit bobbly. The reception was friendly and the membership likewise. Although it was Medal day, the pace of the game was OK. I would recommend this course as it does prove to be good value for money.

I have been a junior member for some time now at brickhampton golf complex, and i do rate it as a top quality course. The greens are different every time i play, which does make it challenging for me and me mates. The 18 hole spa course with a par round of 71 holds many surprises for the average player playing. With beautiful lakes, trees and wildlife the course is a treat to play. Also there is a challenging nine hole course par 31 which is a great oportunity for begginers to play. What also makes it enjoyable playing at this club is the friendly atomosphere,as soon as you walk into the club you are greeted by adult and junior members which i think is a key thing to have in a golf club. Over all this course is spectacular.

As a junior member of 14 years of age, living less than 1 mile away, i did not have a hard choice as to where to join. But i never expected to be able to go to the golf course more than twice a week, knowing that i was spoilt for choice as to what to do. The 18 hole par71 course has had lakes extended and a lake added to the 17th, the 9 hole par31 course has a mixture of par3's and4's and the floodlit driving range gives a great oppurtunity to hit some balls before a round, to top it all of there are a team of friendly staff always willing to give tips and advice.

Considering the 27 hole complex is only around 5 years old, it continues to improve. Not a too demanding a course when it first opened, a number of well designed additional hazards have been incorporated (e.g. a new large lake at the 17th, extensions to lakes on the 13th & 18th etc). Make your score on the first 10 holes as the last 8 are pretty tough. Can get busy at the weekends, but still a friendly course contrary to earlier reviews. I have played many times without problem. Time is still needed for the many new trees to mature allowing the fairways to be better defined. Worth a game, plus good grub in the clubhouse, try the huge burgers !!!
