an unusual quirky and sometimes confusing course. firstly the minus points, no map to course on scorecard.(when playing here first time you will understand why its needed) and tee boxes are not all marked with hole number. This being said it was enjoyable with every hole being a challenge. it is very hilly but checking the web site will alert you to this before playing. i thought it was genuine value(£7.00 after 5) which allowed you to go around twice if you wanted. It was very quiet so no rushing around or waiting.for myself the highlight was the 9th teeing off from a "cliif top" down to the hole.
The clubhouse was very friendly and welcoming.
In summary :not your average course but well worth a visit for a change.
Interesting course that tests every shot in the book. If you want to think about your shots and try something different then this course should be on your to do list. Yes it is hilly but not to the point that it's an inconvenience, if you want boring flat courses flights from heathrow leave daily for the states. The par 7th is a real mind teaser and the near vertical 3rd and 9th really test your thought process.
Clubhouse wasn't open when we started and we didn't have time to stop at the end of our round but the course is in good condition. It has to be said that a little bit of investment of time and money on the tee boxes would make this a real little gem. 2 - 4 - 1 meant we only paid a fiver each so it's definately a bargin.
Played this quirky 9 holer on a Friday afternoon using a 2FORE1 voucher (£4 each for 9 holes ).Friendly little private club where you pay your green fees over the bar.Course was empty & i can see why .This is the hilliest course i've played & one that has some unusual holes. Two of the par 3's have the steepest incline & decline that i've played .Fantastic value for money but ultimately too hilly to be enjoyable.

This has to be oneof the most difficult (and annoying) courses I have ever played. The whole place seems to be carved out of the hillside and consequently most of the holes are, hilly! You won't get many level lies around here and blind tee shots (even on the par threes!) and sometimes even second shots are par for the course - no pun intended here because you won't be shooting par; so difficult is the course. I went round with a friend who is just learning the game. Cruel and unusual punishment for her and not much better for me. Highlights? The par threes are all intersting. One of them has a green you can't see even when you are 25 yards from it - it's in a 'bomb' crater! The par three ninth is a great hole though - 160 yards plus of sheer vertical drop to a blind green. Interesting ...
An outstanding test of golf; this could well be the most difficult \r\n9-hole course in Britain!\r\n\r\nExceptional greens, wonderful springy chalk fairways and a friendly \r\nwelcome in the club-house await the ambitious visitor who thinks\r\nthat they up to the test!\r\n\r\nIf you are planning to play in the summer, you either need to very \r\nstraight or you had better bring plenty of balls.\r\n\r\n
