3 reviews of Bourn Golf Club

Played this course for the first time after hearing some great reviews. Thought the clubshop and club house seemed a little dated, but didnt use the hotel so can't comment on that but it looked a lot more modern than the clubhouse from the outside. The staff were helpful and extremely professional. The course was superb. Every green was consistant, true and in top top condition. Fairways were well looked after (even in this drought period) and the rough just about manageable. I thought the real star though was the course layout..a superb mix of tight, winding holes to test your tactical game and longer, wider holes to allow the shoulders to be opened. The course is set in countryside and uses the hills to effect. Overall, a fantastically conditioned course that is a good test for most levels. After playing most if not all courses in this area I would say it tops the list, and thats before you consider its cheaper than most. Enjoy.

I played here in July 2009 for the first time. Nice course, quite open due to a lot of the trees being quite young, but still fairly challenging for a mid-handicapper. Greens were excellent - ran fast and true.

I played this course on 14/2/05 and found it to be truly testing for a 19 handicapper, but also really enjoyable to!! this course has plenty of testing holes both over water and up and down hills with a few blind shots thrown in for good measure!! And i can't wait to play it in the summer when all the folage is about ,it must then be a treat to just walk around and enjoy the view!! this course has to be one of the best in the area in my opinion and at £18.oo around is excellent value for money!!! my marks out of ten is a nine!!
