Played Bedale at the end of July 2010 on a sunny but very windy day. The clubhouse is very comfortable with modern and clean changing rooms. I had heard good reports about the course from other people but this was the first time I had played it. We had just completed a 3 day tour of links courses in Northumbria and were playing this course on the way back to South Yorkshire. Having played 6 rounds of links golf it was nice to be back on a lush, wooded parkland course. Bedale is a lovely golf course. It is not too long but gives you the opportunity to open your shoulders on a number of holes due to its layout. The greens were in excellent condition and the fairways were lush and springy. As I said earlier we played o n a very windy day and this was certainly a factor on the back 9 holes as they are not as sheltered as the front 9 as I believe some of the holes are part of a new extension. All in all a good golf course that is definately worth a visit. The club also deserve a mention for serving real, local ale in the clubhouse.

it's been a few years since I last played here and a lot has changed. The course is still excellent and the greens were in great nick!the course still challenging and exciting. They have just had the club house and pro shop refurbished and now the off course experience is first class. Can't wait for my next trip here!

Played this course on a baking hot Jul evening using a 2 Fore 1 voucher making it £16 each. The fairways were in good comdition and well lanscaped. The greens however were a little sloe as they had not been cut too tight - possibly to combat the sustained hot weather. The tee boxes were similarly a little ragged but the ciourse was enjoyable overall. The members were extremely courteous and it was well worth the visit

Significant improvements made during the winter including the construction of a new water hazard on the 1st and 18th, and landscaping of the ditch across the fairway at the 3rd. Standard of the course is great for the time of the year.

This is a great course, it is well maintained, with many tough holes giving a challenge to the best golfers, however it is still enjoyable for the average golfer. If you are in the area make sure you play here.
