Our 20 strong society played this course last Friday and were well looked after with a senior club member deputed to make sure we had a good day at the club. I had pre-ordered coffee and bacon rolls for all which were promptly dispensed on our arrival and we started on time at noon.
The course was very well presented and the greens were true and fairly quick. After the first two holes there are some excellent holes and some with some good views over the city itself. It is not a particularly long course but the fairly strong winds we played in did make some of the holes a good challenge.
We all enjoyed the total experience that Bath GC provided and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
After two strange short holes to start with the course opens up a little and for most of the front nine you're faced with stunning views of the surrounding hills and a good mixture of holes.
The back nine takes you away from the views and the course becomes a little bland - but you don't need the distraction as this stage as the course becomes a little harder.
Overall not bad - but the £42 green fee is a premeier league price for a 2nd division course.
