Not long, but a really good course in good condition.Lovely setting, and lots of blind shots. We will definitely return here.

in my opinion this is one of the best courses i have played in the area apart form the exceptionally good woburn gold club just down the road. in many ways on the back nine aspley guise plays like woburn but for a fraction of the price.

played here one Wednesday afternoon at the start of august and was really impressed by the whole club. the club house is placed in a superb position overlooking the first tee and eighteenth green and also the signature par 3 tenth. club house facilities brilliant with a well stocked pro shop and a clean locker room. the course plays well brilliant fairways, greens and tees with some lovely holes including the 4th, 10th and 16th and some challenging holes including the steep climb on the approach to the par 5 8th but other than that not to hard to walk the course but by no means a flat course. the course was not too busy and we were free to take our time but you cloud see others on the course so it didn't feel totally deserted and there was a bit of atmosphere around the club house putting green. in my opinion this is one of the best courses in the area.

Played here mid July using the Daily Telegraph open fairways scheme (£16 each).Despite reading good reviews in golf course guides this place didn't really do it for me.Undoubtedly it has a great set of par 3s & the greens & tees were excellent but it all felt a bit cramped & tight .I usually like to get my driver out before the 14th if possible! Also for a Wednesday lunchtime the course was incredibly busy (admittedly there was a big society going out later & maybe members had decided to get there games in).Further problems were playing as a two & being stuck behind a members 4 ball with no one in front for 6 holes. Then once through (we had to ask) getting stuck on the back 9 behind a two who were stuck behind another 4 ball. Decided to call it a day after the 14th as it was getting too frustrating. On the day ,despite being a private club,it did have a slight feel of a municipal about it with ignorant members ,blind shot bells not being rung & balls coming across from adjacent fairways .Maybe we just picked a bad day but we left the place not wanting to return. K.B.

Until recently I was a member at Aspley, and there is no doubting that it is a beutifully looked after course, with some of the best greens around. The fairways are always nice to playoff and the holes are ergonomically nice though in the main not challenging to anyone who can keep the ball in play off the tee. There are downsides, for what it is it is very expensive and temporary tees/greens galore in the winter. The members are also a pain in the glutimus maximus (average members age of 55 and they act like they rule the place). Also - the new clubhouse has now been erected and is a huge improvement! If money isnt an object its an enjoyable round - if it is, go for the cheaper Three Locks, which is a better test, cheaper, and less snobby members!

Excellent course. Not long but some great looking holes. The Par 3s 3 and 10 are well bunkered and the par 5s are reachable in 2 (off the yellows if you are long). Only let downs were a couple of bumpy greens and a group of 3 members who refused to let anyone through.

I played here recently, and i have to say one of the very best courses ive play on! Very challanging especially the 10th a very tricky par 3. Lots of excellent holes, greens in excellent condition and some water hazards thrown in for good measure. I fully recommend a round here! Great course, value for money and very friendly staff!
